The Department of Computer Application under the science faculty is introduced in June 2016. Courses offer by department are BCA (Science) and M. Sc. (CA). The department strives to prepare students into academically competent and professionally motivated individuals equipped with the right skills. The Program is of a Three Year (Six semesters) Full Time Degree Program from the Science stream. The syllabus incorporates current trends in the field of Information Technology namely Python Programming, R Programming , Java, Data Science, Networking, Android Programming, Internet of Things(IoT) ,Cloud Computing etc. Adding to the university curriculum, the department also conducts valued-added courses aligned with the needs of the IT industry. The department organizes an induction programme for first year students to introduce them to the credit system. The department conducts different competitions like Poster Competitions, Quiz Competition, and Seminar Competitions etc. under the heading of “SM TechnoWanza”. The department invites industry experts as resource persons for guest lectures to keep students updated on the latest trends in tech and industry. Students also participate in various inter-collegiate competitions. In an attempt to give back to society, students arrange visits to orphanages and old age homes.

Through our rigorous curriculum, hands-on experimentation, and collaborative projects and activities, we aim to prepare students for successful careers in IT industry.
